About the ADJ Program

The program's curriculum serves as an introduction to the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, corrections, and the courts. Students may apply all course work from the ADJ certificate to the Associate in Arts and Sciences degree.

The College will offer required courses annually or more often. Courses are scheduled so as not to conflict with each other.

Transfer Information

BRCC has formal articulation agreements with American Military University, Eastern Kentucky University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and James Madison University. Additional agreements are pending.

Receiving College Credit for Academy Courses

If you have completed the Virginia criminal justice training academy basic school, BRCC will award college credits that can be applied toward a certificate or associates degree.
