Aviation Maintenance Technology Program

Are you interested in a career in aviation, but don’t want to be a pilot? Consider a career as an Aviation Maintenance Technician! Aviation technicians perform scheduled maintenance and trouble-shooting on private planes, corporate jets, and helicopters. Currently, there is a shortage of aviation maintenance technicians, which means abundant job offers and impressive starting salaries! BRCC is the only FAA approved aviation maintenance technology training school in the Virginia Community College System.

Classes

Classes will begin in the Fall 2007 semester and will normally be conducted 8 hours per day, Monday through Wednesday, and 6 hours per day on Thursday, except for scheduled holidays. Students may elect to attend on a variety of schedules as noted below:

  • 30 hours per week for four semesters.
  • Or on a space available basis on any other schedule.

The total course content is 1920 hours, with evening courses conducted on an as-needed basis.
