2. What kind of jobs will an associate degree in
Information Systems Technology prepare me for?
Our program is designed to prepare students to
become Computer Support Specialists. Computer Support Specialists
are often generalists (i.e., have some experience in several different
areas). They may be asked to provide technical assistance or
advice to end-users, to troubleshoot problems with computer hardware and
software, and to identify and implement solutions to software problems,
to replace defective computer hardware. Often support specialists
will spend part of their day talking with customers on the phone,
responding to e-mail requests, or preparing training and documentation

3. What kinds of companies need computer support
specialists?
Many local companies need technology support
specialists. Our alumni have found positions in local
manufacturing firms, at the local hospitals, in the local school
systems, working for local business, and as entrepreneurs.
