About the Program

Instruction: (above) Students discussing the outcome of a drafting and design project.

lab

Facility: Students work in the state of the art Computer-Aided Drafting/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) lab with the latest in software and technology.

architectural drawing

Drawing: Students will learn how to use conventional CAD to draw drawings.

computer models

Computer Models & Assemblies: Students create computer models of parts that can be studied and turned in to detail and assembly drawings for industry.

prototype

Prototype Machine: Students make prototypes from their computer models to futher study how to improve their design.

Manufacturing Processes: Students use CAM software to simulate the manufacturing process and write the computer numerical controlled (CNC) core needed to make the part in the manufacturing lab at BRCC.
