| May 7 - I have
posted your grades on my office window. Rush to campus to pick them up.
They are going to destroy my office at the end of the week to make way
for expansion. I will enter your final grades in Blackboard tomorrow
morning.
April 20 - I have posted a page that summarizes the key concepts I will be testing you on from the urban forestry unit. April 17 - Extra credit is now available to those interested. Click on the link, read everything and then follow the instructions. March 21 - Attention BIO 102 students. I have tied new ribbons to all of the trees in the arboretum involved in the tree identification activity. Are you asking yourself, "What tree identification activity?" Well, then you need to click the link on your schedule page to learn more. Don't panic! It's not due until April 27, 2007. March 21 - I am working on the grade interims. I will have BIO 102 completed this week and posted in a special column in BlackBoard. BIO 101, I'm waiting of your class to complete the midterm and then I will do the same for you. March 16 - Attention BIO 102 students. Due to the inclement weather. The midterm exam deadline is being moved to Monday, March 19, 2007. March 11 - Will be out of the office Monday evening through Thursday evening. Should be "connected" in the evenings. February 20 - Slipping out of town Tuesday night and Wednesday. Will be at Holiday Inn and am assuming they'll have free wireless.
February 6 - Slipping out of town Wednesday for a presentation in snowy Pennsylvania. Will return very late Wednesday evening. January 28 - My speaking engagements are just about over. I'm slipping out of town from 1/29 - 1/31. I will be able to respond to e-mails and BlackBoard postings. January 24 - I'm slipping out of town for about 20 hours. I should return around this time. I do expect to have Internet connectivity this evening so it shouldn't disrupt things too much. By now you should be settled into the class "routine" and taking or about to take your first test. Check your schedule and make sure you are still on track. Questions? Don't hesitate to ask me on the Discussion board or via e-mail. January 4 - Here we go! BlackBoard will soon be available for you to log on, take your practice quiz, and say howdy to your classmates. Review the schedule, syllabus, FAQ, Welcome Letter... all those links you find on the homepage. Please note: I will be out of town on Monday - Wednesday (1/8-1/10/07. I'm not sure if I'll have Internet access (other than what I get on my PDA in the occasional coffee shop). I'm thinking I'll be able to respond to postings on BlackBoard and my e-email before I'll be in a position to access the necessary software to post another announcement on this page. Note: future announcements that impact Bio 101-60 will be made in the left column... while announcements for Bio 102-60 will be in the right column. |
