How long will "it" last? Maybe 4 PM?

Meeting Place:
J Building (Lab J105)

Discuss on-line labs

Again... you guys are mighty quiet about those on-line labs. Your stoic disposition may mean that you're incredibly computer literate or you're simply keeping a stiff upper lip and floundering. We'll get to the bottom of this on-line lab business.

Discuss videos

That's right! I have several videos that I would like for you to see (Hardy Weinberg Principle & Gene Frequencies). They are in the learning lab and I have posted questions on-line for you to answer while you watch these videos. (Actually, you should of already watched these videos before CyberSaturday... if they're going to help you... they're going to help you with Test #2).

Lab Work - Human Anatomy and Physiology & Plant Biology Lab
Be sure to print out all of the paper/handouts. Some of which should be completed before lab.

Human A&P. We will need a couple of hours to look at many tissue slides, models, skeletons, and posters. We will also recruit some "volunteers" to perform some physiological tests.
Plant Biology. There's a bunch of stuff I want to share with you now so you will have a handle on what Dr. Wolfe covers in  plant biology.

Lab Quiz

We have enough on our plate for today without an additional quiz. Expect your quizze(s) on-line

Discuss Field Studies

Tree Identification (BRCC). We will be marching out to the arboretum to assign trees. During this month, when you're  learning about plant biology, you will have the opportunity to identify a tree... for a grade!

Animal Behavior (National Zoo).... An option (Squirrel Behavior) will be available for those wanting to stick closer to home.

Succession (Sherando).

Brief Question and Answer period about stuff covered in the second semester

Have those questions ready and primed to go... we will try to keep this session short and sweet and productive. Some folks may want to take this opportunity to meditate, drink coffee, breathe, jog, eat... actually, you may want to do all of these things.

Lecture Midterm

Your midterm will be divided into two sections:
