Biking Biking (the type without
a motor, that is...) is a feature of this fitness-oriented
site because it has such benefit potential for so many people.
The cost is (or can be) quite low, most folks have access to good
roads or trails, it eliminates most of the structural stresses that
may hinder, compromise, or even debilitate runners, it offers
low intensity training for those with low fitness yet can be a
challenge to the most competitive athlete. It's a way to see
the beautiful countryside, to just economically and ecologically get
around, to meet friends, to relax, to re-juvinate. A fun
social time, or a quiet alone time for introspection, meditation, or
prayer. Links to good articles, resources, and local clubs
are also featured. And, although BRCC does not currently sponsor its
own club, I am hopeful that with enough interest the readers of this
section show..through responses to my e-mail...that we may someday
have one! AREA CYCLING CLUBS

TDL has a wonderful reputation for drawing the most fun out of every
available bicycle event, during which they've consistently
reinforced the true meaning of the Club name. There are no
dues and no meetings. The basic requirement is social aspects
over competition, although members ARE allowed to occasionally
finish in front of outside riders, preferably if those outside
riders are under 5 or over 90. For more information, just
e-mail the local rep:

(We have no fancy website, as lack the requisite funding. And probably
brains as well. However clicking on the links below will be
entertaining if not enlightening!)
