American Red Cross Blood Drive
2007 event
is Halloween, Wed, Oct. 31st, room 126-C, Plecker Center.
The Health and Physical Education
Department Sponsors an ARC drive each October, mid to last part of
the month. Contact me directly for specs or stay in tuned (in on
BRCC everybody list) for details.
The Red Cross is the Nation's (by
far) top suppliers of blood, supplies this service to hospitals,
emergency care centers, military installations, and the like free of
charge. ARC responds to disasters and crises everywhere, with
blood, supplies, food, housing, and other needed services, as well
as saving lives indirectly by training and certifying professionals
in safety, first aid, water safety, corporate health and safety, and
other areas.
It is the TOP RATED large
national charity in services provided per donations received, and
directs the lowest percentage of money donated toward administrative
and fundraising, and the highest percentage toward programming, of
ANY major charity. Want you blood or your money to "go the
farthest"? Consider the American Red Cross.
This link provides details,
requirements, and restrictions on donating blood. If you can't find
your answer here just zap me a query and I'll find it for you!
